5 Destinations Of Tourism In Croatia

Croatia is a well-developed industry that is full of attractive tourist destinations to hit. The tourism in Croatia ranges from yachting paradise to cultural landscapes to well-preserved old towns. Here are 5 destinations to hit while visiting the tourist-friendly country.

1. Istria

Istria is perhaps the best spot for tourism in Croatia because of its impeccable infrastructure and diversity. On the west side of the peninsula you will find several historical towns from the Roman times. Many of these historical towns are surrounded by large hotel complexes, resorts and sport facilities as well. The interior region of this peninsula consists of woods and green forests full of stone towns placed on hills.

2. Kvarner & Highlands

If you are looking for variety with your tourism, you need not look any further. The Kvarner gulf provides breathtaking scenery with tall mountains peering over a dozen large islands, and is base right next to the sea. The island of Pag is party central for tourists, with the town of Navalja being the top location. And if you are looking for nature, the interior regions have forests, fields and mountain regions.

3. Dalmatia – Zadar

This is the region where you can get your yachting in. The Kornati National Park has hundreds of uninhabited islands to sail around from, including large islands and smaller coastal resorts. This is the place for you to have fun in the sun while lounging on the boat.

4. Dalmatia – Dubrovnik

While all tourism in Croatia is beautiful, the most known area in Croatia is Dubrovnik. The city of Dubrovnik is a breathtaking sight with numerous attractive islands and even more historical sights and untouched forests.

5. Central Croatia

This is one of the largest tourism areas in Croatia with many intriguing sites to select from. In the north, there is a plethora of castles and spas to visit including the hilly area of Zagorje. The south has the nature park of Lonjsko polje and many more natural highlights. And if you head further southwest in the central region of Croatia, you will find many more spectacular forests and wilderness.

Tourism in Croatia offers a little bit of something for everyone. From the hills and forests spread across the country to the spectacular yachting regions of Zadar, there is immaculate scenery that can be found nowhere else in the world. And that is just the tip of the iceberg for what Croatia has to offer for tourism.
